Gary Charness is a Professor of Economics at the University of California at Santa Barbara. His research focuses on experimental and behavioral economics. He made major contributions on social preferences, communication, delegation and responsibility, game theory and networks, and individual and group decision-making. He has published in leading journals including the American Economic Review, Econometrica, and the Quarterly Journal of Economics, and received nearly 20,000 citations. He is a co-editor of Games and Economic Behavior.

  • Nobuyuki Hanaki is a professor of Economics at Institute of Social and Economic Research, Osaka University, and the director of the Research Center for Behavioral Economics. He employs mathematical and computational modelling, as well as controlled laboratory experiments, to investigate the aggregate consequences of interactions among heterogeneous decision makers. The results of his research have been published in such journals as Economic Journal, Management Science, and Games and Economic Behavior.
